Inflatable PVC fabric is a functional material made by combining polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the core material with a base fabric through a special process. Its classification is mainly based on structural design and processing technology. The following are common classification methods:
Single-layer PVC film structure: The base fabric is laminated with a PVC film on one side. It is low in cost but has weak impact resistance, and is mostly used for simple inflatable toys (such as swimming rings and small inflatable mats).
Double-layer PVC film structure: The base fabric is laminated with PVC film on both the upper and lower sides. Tear resistance and airtightness are significantly improved, making it suitable for products requiring high safety, such as inflatable tents and life jackets.
Mesh fabric structure: A polyester mesh fabric is sandwiched between the base fabrics, forming a "sandwich" structure. It combines lightweight and high strength, and is often used for inflatable boats and advertising tarpaulins.
Waterproof type: Achieves waterproof performance through a high-density PVC coating, suitable for raincoats and swimming pools.
Flame-retardant type: Adds flame retardants to meet the safety requirements of fire protection and outdoor equipment.
Cold and high-temperature resistant type: Through modified formulas, it can be used stably in environments from -40℃ to 70℃.

Outdoor adventures: Prioritize double-layer mesh fabric + flame-retardant formula, such as for mountaineering tents and rafting boats.
Children's toys: Must comply with environmental standards (such as EN71-3) to avoid the release of harmful substances.
Industrial protection: Focus on chemical corrosion resistance, and choose coated fabrics with added acid and alkali resistant additives.
Thickness: 0.2-0.3mm is suitable for lightweight products, and 1.1mm or more is suitable for load-bearing components.
Width: 1-4 meters are available. Wider widths reduce splicing seams and improve waterproofness.
Environmental certification: Prioritize products that have passed REACH, 6P, and other certifications.
Inflatable PVC fabric, with its lightweight, durable, and easy-to-process characteristics, is an important material in the fields of outdoor equipment and industrial protection. By understanding the different classifications and processing characteristics, users can more accurately select the most suitable product.
